DNW Outdoors’ first year duck calling event was a huge success!
Over 100 people gathered at the DNW Outdoors store in Jonesboro over the past weekend to watch 17 contestants from six different states battle for first place.
This year’s winners are Jonathan Mortin, of Beebe, for the adult division, and Aiden Castleberry, of Little Rock, for the youth division.
In the week leading up to the event, DNW Outdoors partnered with Jonesboro Radio Group’s Senior Account Executive Tim Smith to run a radio advertising campaign.
“I really feel that the radio advertising that we did the week leading up to the event is what drove its success,” said Smith.

Tim Smith joined the Jonesboro Radio Group as an account executive in 2010. Tim has spent the last 20 years in outside sales with 10 of those being in media. Tim is a 1982 graduate of Arkansas State University with a B.S. in Marketing. He lives in Paragould with his wife, Jan. They have two sons, Jeremie and Drew; and Maggie, the family pet.
