100.5 The Eagle to Broadcast UA-ASU Baseball Game Tuesday

JONESBORO, AR (Jonesboro Radio Group) – KEGI-FM, the high-power classic rock station known as “100.5 The Eagle”, has agreed to broadcast the Learfield/IMG broadcast of the University of Arkansas vs Arkansas State University baseball game.  This historic first-meeting of these two teams in baseball will be Tuesday, May 11.  The broadcast will begin at 6pm.

Learfield/IMG leadership reached out to the Jonesboro Radio Group about carrying the game on its high-power station so that a large number of people could hear the game in the Northeast Arkansas region.  “We are glad to be able to respond to this opportunity to air the games on The Eagle,” said Trey Stafford, President/General Manager of the Jonesboro Radio Group.  “We have aired Arkansas football and men’s basketball games since 2005.  Picking up this historic game is a great fit and will serve an audience very interested in this game.”

Stafford said his radio group is in talks with Learfield/IMG to broadcast the post-season games involving the University of Arkansas as well, which could include the NCAA Regional, Super Regional, and even the College World Series games.
